SCRAPBOOKING WITH CLOSE TO MY HEART SOTM ICE CREAM DREAMS AND CRICUT ARTISTE CARTRIDGE

Im just loving this months Stamp Of The Month SOTM Ice Cream dreams, i created a card in an earlier post with the australiasian blog hop and thought i would now do a scrap page with the same stamp set.

Did you know you could do stamping with ink on your scrapbooking pages ?
A little bit about this page is case you would like to CASE it.
Firstly using a 12 x 12 sheet of white daisy card stock , my Cricut expression machine and my close to my heart Cricut Collection Artiste cartridge, i cut out the background page.  In the overlay section of the cartridge, found the overlay i wanted and set it to 11" RDS to cut out the lacey background.

Then i filled my trusty spray pens with ink from my reinkers and spritzed colours all over the page.  Colours included: buttercup, cotton candy and sorbet.  These are great when doing mixed media or any project to add a spritz of colour too.  Simply fill your pen to the 2nd last line at the top with water and then put 6 - 10 drops of ink or fill with ink to the last line.  It depends on how rich you would like the colour to be.  By the way did you know that Close To My heart have over 40 different ctmh colours in the reinkers to choose from and that you can purchase 3 spray pens for only $5.50 ?

Set your page to the side to dry.  Now using WOTG Brushed paper, i cut out another page of the lacey page but this time set the size to 9"l.  Once it was cut out on the machine i then cut it down so that i had the same shape without the lacey frame and glued it to my page.

I coloured the stamped images from the SOTM Ice cream dreams with my shin han alcohol markers and highlighted them with liquid glass.  When wanting to colour stamped images it is always a good rule of thumb to use either a memento ink or a stazon ink to stop the stamped image from bleeding out the colour of the image.
